Albertsons Media Collective launched a new measurement solution designed to provide advertisers with a deduplicated view of incremental sales impact across multiple digital channels.
The Retail Media Incrementality-Based Multi-Touch Attribution tool was developed in partnership with LiveRamp. It connects impression-level exposure data from Albertsons’ owned channels, offsite media, and partners including Meta, Display & Video 360, Google Ad Manager, and Perion with transaction data.
How the Solution Works
The platform operates in a neutral, privacy-conscious environment. It aims to isolate the incremental contribution of each touchpoint to a sale, moving beyond siloed reporting and last-touch attribution models.
Liz Roche, VP of Media and Measurement at Albertsons Media Collective, stated that the solution helps brands understand where "one plus one can equal three" by reflecting how consumers engage across channels.
Jack Foster, Head of Measurement Products at LiveRamp, noted that Albertsons is the first grocery retail media network to deliver incremental measurement across previously siloed channels using this infrastructure.
Pilot Partnership
PepsiCo is an early pilot partner for the solution. The company will use the tool to evaluate the incremental impact of media investments and reduce reporting complexity.
This launch follows Albertsons Media Collective’s recent on-site incrementality rollout. The network operates across more than 2,200 locations in 35 states and the District of Columbia.
How might PepsiCo's pilot results influence other major CPG brands to adopt this incrementality-based attribution model?
What competitive pressure could this launch place on rival retail media networks like Kroger or Amazon to develop similar cross-channel measurement tools?
Will the success of this privacy-conscious, neutral environment model accelerate the industry-wide shift away from last-touch attribution standards?
