Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC has appointed Rishi Awasthi as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Senior Management Personnel. The appointment takes effect on October 1, 2026.
The Board of Directors approved the move on September 18, 2026, following a recommendation from the Nomination, Remuneration and Compensation Committee. This action complies with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Leadership Transition
Mr. Awasthi replaces Basil Dange, who tendered his resignation due to personal reasons. Mr. Dange’s resignation was accepted effective from the close of business hours on September 25, 2026.
Profile of New CISO
Mr. Awasthi brings over 14 years of experience in information security and cyber risk across BFSI, technology, telecom, and consulting sectors. He joined Aditya Birla Capital Limited (ABCL) in May 2023 as Lead - Privacy and IS Audit.
In his previous role at ABCL, he drove enterprise-wide initiatives for cybersecurity governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and data privacy. Before joining ABCL, he worked with RSM India, Willis Towers Watson, Deloitte India, and Tata Consultancy Services.
