The project involves upgrading the Kavach railway safety system from version 3.2 to 4.0 in the Sadashivpet Road-Bidar-Parli Vaijnath-Parbhani section. The contract duration is 24 months from the date of Letter of Acceptance. This domestic contract, with no related party transactions, is expected to boost Kernex's order book and revenue over the next two years.

Kernex Microsystems Secures Rs 325.33 Crore Kavach Contract from South Eastern Railway
Kernex Microsystems India Limited, leading the KERNEX-MRT CONSORTIUM, has been awarded a Rs 325.33 crore contract by South Eastern Railway. The project involves implementing the Kavach safety system across 688 route kilometers in the Kharagpur and Chakradharpur divisions. The contract includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Kavach on GO & GO routes, with a completion period of 1,000 days. Kavach is an indigenously developed Automatic Train Protection system designed to prevent collisions and ensure adherence to speed limits.
