Webull (NASDAQ: BULL) has launched the Webull Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, enabling investors to interact with its OpenAPI using natural language AI commands without programming knowledge. The tool, which has been active since April, allows clients to execute trades and manage positions by removing the coding barrier to advanced trading tools. This development aims to democratize access to sophisticated trading infrastructure for a broader base of investors.
The MCP server connects AI agents to Webull's trading systems, empowering users to perform key actions through plain-language instructions. These capabilities include querying real-time market data, viewing account balances and positions, and placing, modifying, or canceling orders. Investors can also query order history and order details, streamlining the trading process for those without technical expertise.
"AI is fundamentally changing how investors can engage with markets, and MCP reflects Webull's commitment to being at the forefront of that change," said Anthony Denier, Group President and U.S. CEO of Webull. "By lowering barriers to advanced trading tools, we are building what we see as a foundational capability for the next generation of self-directed investors."
The MCP server extends advanced trading tools previously limited to developers and quantitatively-oriented users. These tools are now available to all clients in the U.S., with a planned rollout to additional markets in the near future. The initiative aligns with Webull's strategy to integrate cutting-edge technology into its platform.
Webull serves more than 27 million registered users globally across 16 markets in North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, and Latin America. The platform offers trading in securities, options, digital assets, and futures, along with wealth management services. The company operates through licensed broker-dealers, including Webull Financial LLC, Webull Pay LLC, and Webull Futures LLC.
