Professional Background

Taori brings nearly 30 years of experience in finance, treasury, international trade, marketing, and compensation management. Prior to this role, he served as Executive Director (In-charge) – International Trade at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). At HPCL, he managed crude procurement of approximately 700 kbd, product imports and exports, chartering arrangements, and oil price risk management.

His tenure at HPCL included managing one of India’s largest corporate treasuries for over a decade. He spearheaded HPCL’s maiden USD bond issue, achieving competitive pricing spreads, and conceptualised the Oil Bond Swap to reduce borrowing costs. He also facilitated HPCL’s first foreign currency swaps and revolving line of credit, representing the company at global equity and debt roadshows. Taori also served as a Trustee of all employee benefits trusts of HPCL and as a Director on the Board of HPCL Middle East FZCO, Dubai.
