Prior to his role at Capria, Mr. Poole was a Corporate Vice President at Microsoft for over twelve years. In this capacity, he led major business lines, including the USD 13 billion Windows client business, which represented two-thirds of Microsoft's profits at the time, and spearheaded initiatives focused on emerging markets. Earlier in his career, he co-founded eShop, an e-commerce pioneer acquired by Microsoft in 1996 when Mr. Poole joined the company. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brown University and is based in Seattle, USA.
Mr. Poole is also the co-author of the forthcoming Penguin book Flourishing with AI, which explores strategies for thriving in the age of Artificial Intelligence. He serves as a strategic advisor and board member to several social impact and venture organizations.
