The company attributes the pricing adjustments to a sharp rise in connected-TV and large-screen viewing, which has experienced rapid growth over the past 11 months since launch. JioHotstar stated that the updated pricing framework aims to support continued investments in premium content, live sports, and technology as the platform scales beyond 450 million monthly active users and over one billion downloads on Google Play.
