Midwest Gold Limited Reports No Deviations in Rs 118.47 Crore Preferential Issue Fund Utilization

Infomerics Valuation and Rating Private Limited, the monitoring agency, reported no deviations from the disclosed objects of the issue. The preferential issue comprised two parts: Rs 39.57 crore through equity share swap for acquiring 97.40% stake in Midwest Energy Private Limited, and Rs 85.02 crore cash component (though only Rs 78.90 crore was subscribed). Fund utilization included acquisition of MEPL stake (Rs 39.57 crore - completed), debt repayment (Rs 20.03 crore - Rs 19.60 crore utilized), working capital requirements (Rs 20.27 crore - Rs 12.00 crore utilized), and general corporate purposes (Rs 19.60 crore - Rs 17.31 crore utilized). The company had availed an overdraft facility of Rs 9.40 crore against fixed deposits, which was transferred to MEPL for expansion and working capital needs.
