Hindustan Motors Reports Quarterly Results Amid Land Possession Loss and Operational Challenges

The company reported other income of Rs. 1,536 lakhs for the quarter, which included Rs. 361.73 lakhs from unspent liabilities written back related to municipal tax settlement. The company's total assets stood at Rs. 6,349.31 lakhs as of September 30, 2025, compared to Rs. 6,424.73 lakhs as of March 31, 2025. The State of West Bengal took possession of 395 acres of resumed land on July 11, 2025, following the Supreme Court's dismissal of the company's Special Leave Petition on July 16, 2025. Operations at the Uttarpara plant remain suspended since May 24, 2014, due to low productivity and lack of demand. The company continues to seek new business partners and technology partners to capitalize on other assets. Auditors issued a qualified review report citing material uncertainty about the company's ability to continue as a going concern, given the land resumption and lack of operations.
Hindustan Motors Limited applied for voluntary delisting of its equity shares from the National Stock Exchange of India Limited on August 18, 2025.
