About NMDC Steel
NMDC Steel Ltd is a government-owned company under the Ministry of Steel, India. It operates a 3.0 MTPA steel plant in Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh. The company has commissioned various facilities including a 220KV GIS sub-station, Coke Oven Batteries, Sinter Plant, Central Zero Liquid Discharge system, and Oxygen Plant. In June 2023, it began trial production of Hot Rolled Coils. The company produces low carbon steel, HSLA & Dual Phase Steel, and API quality steel, with products including HR coils and HR sheets/plates in thicknesses from 1-16 mm. NMDC Steel was listed on the stock exchange in February 2023 following a demerger from NMDC Limited.
