Solex Energy reported quarterly consolidated net profit of 52 million rupees, down from 91 million rupees in the same period last year. The company's revenue increased to 1.55 billion rupees from 1.3 billion rupees year-over-year. EBITDA rose to 186 million rupees compared to 143 million rupees previously, with EBITDA margin improving to 12% from 10.87%.
Solex Energy plans to raise Rs 500 crore through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) and Rs 1,000 crore in debt to fund expansion projects. The company, which recently migrated to NSE's main board and has a market capitalization of Rs 1,600 crore, aims to complete the equity raise within three months. A State Bank of India-led consortium has agreed to finance the debt component. The Rs 1,400 crore investment will establish a 2.2 GW solar cell manufacturing facility costing Rs 1,200 crore, targeted for completion by March 2027, and expand module capacity by 2.5 GW for Rs 200 crore. Solex currently operates 4 GW of module manufacturing capacity and plans to scale up to 10 GW each of module and cell capacity by 2030, with total planned investment of $1.5 billion.
