Prima Plastics Re-appoints Key Leadership for Three-Year TermsAug 13, 2025
Prima Plastics Limited has re-appointed Mr. Bhaskar M. Parekh as Whole-time Director and Executive Chairman, and Mr. Dilip M. Parekh as Managing Director, both effective September 1, 2025. The re-appointments were approved by the Board of Directors on May 27, 2025, and subsequently approved by shareholders at the 31st Annual General Meeting held on August 12, 2025. Both appointments are for three-year terms ending August 31, 2028. Mr. Bhaskar M. Parekh has over 35 years of experience in plastic injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion industry, overseeing production and general administration. Mr. Dilip M. Parekh, also with over 35 years in the plastic industry, handles marketing and administration. Both directors are promoters of the company and are siblings, along with Mrs. Hina V. Mehta, another director.
Prima Plastics Reports Strong Q1 FY26 Results with 64% Jump in Net ProfitAug 12, 2025
Prima Plastics Limited announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. On a standalone basis, the company reported net profit of ₹571.85 lakhs compared to a loss of ₹71.02 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased to ₹2,940.95 lakhs from ₹2,719.44 lakhs in the previous year quarter. On a consolidated basis, net profit reached ₹347.48 lakhs versus ₹401.54 lakhs in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, while total income grew to ₹4,781.71 lakhs from ₹4,103.73 lakhs. The company's earnings per share improved to ₹5.20 from a loss of ₹0.70 per share in the same quarter last year. The trading window for company shares will reopen on August 15, 2025.
Prima Plastics Limited received an order from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Ahmedabad Bench, directing the company to hold a court-convened meeting of equity shareholders and unsecured creditors on September 27, 2025. The meeting relates to the proposed Scheme of Arrangement between Prima Plastics Limited and Prima Innovation Limited. The NCLT pronounced the order on July 25, 2024, on the company's first motion application. Prima Plastics is preparing the Notice and Explanatory statement to be circulated to equity shareholders and unsecured creditors within prescribed timelines. Following the meeting, the company will complete formalities for filing the second motion application to NCLT.
