Hindustan Agrigenetics Limited's Board approved unaudited financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, showing a profit after tax of Rs 16.85 lacs compared to a loss of Rs 40.19 lacs in the previous quarter. The company's total revenue increased to Rs 32.13 lacs from Rs 8.09 lacs, with cash and cash equivalents rising to Rs 5,38,13,854 from Rs 5,14,05,088.
Hindustan Agrigenetics Limited underwent significant leadership changes following a successful open offer. The board appointed Mrs. Vidya Jonnalagadda as a woman Independent Director. Five board members resigned including Mrs. Chandani Kapur, Mr. Sunny Srivastava, Mr. Naren Parsai, Mr. Pranav Kapur, and Ms. Mannu Kohli, with their resignations accepted by the board. Mr. Pritam Kapur also tendered his resignation but was requested to continue as Managing Director until December 15, 2025. Mr. Rajendra Naniwadekar will take over as Managing Director from December 15, 2025. The company formed three statutory committees: an Audit Committee chaired by P.K. Rambabu, a Nomination and Remuneration Committee chaired by Ravi Shankar Kolathur, and a Stakeholders Relationship Committee chaired by Shashank Vaidya.
Hindustan Agrigenetics Limited appointed Vidya Sobhianaditya Jonnalagadda as a Non-Executive Independent Director during a Board meeting held on October 18, 2025. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval. Jonnalagadda brings over 40 years of experience as a biology researcher and teacher, holding a PhD from University of Pennsylvania. She has worked at various prestigious institutions including Indian Institute of Science, Fox Chase Cancer Center, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She transitioned from research to teaching about 20 years ago, specializing in genetics, molecular biology, virology, and immunology at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. The appointee has no relationships with existing directors and is neither a willful defaulter nor barred by any regulator.
