The company's revenue from operations declined to Rs 36.00 lacs from Rs 57.11 lacs year-over-year, with earnings per share turning negative at Rs (0.17) versus Rs 1.46 in the same quarter last year.
Chennai Ferrous Industries Limited reported total income of Rs. 69.45 crores for Q1, down 6.2% from Rs. 74.08 crores in the same quarter last year. Despite the revenue decline, net profit increased 33.9% to Rs. 2.33 crores compared to Rs. 1.74 crores in Q1 of the previous year. Jaswant Munoth (60) was re-appointed as Managing Director for 3 years effective June 20, 2025. He holds an MBA and has 36 years of capital markets experience, having been Managing Director since the company's inception in 1990 and leading 47 IPOs through the Merchant Banking division. C R Sasi (84) was appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director, bringing 50 years of professional experience as a Chartered Engineer with qualifications from Indian Engineering Service. Bharat and Jaswant Munoth are brothers and sons of Lalchand Munoth. All appointments require shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. Bharat Munoth holds 717,900 shares while Jaswant Munoth holds 836,100 shares in the company.
