Zydus Wellness reported quarterly results showing consolidated net profit of 1.28 billion rupees, down from 1.47 billion rupees in the same period last year. Revenue increased to 8.58 billion rupees from 8.39 billion rupees year-over-year. EBITDA rose slightly to 1.56 billion rupees from 1.55 billion rupees, while EBITDA margin compressed to 18.1% from 18.47% in the previous year.
The Supreme Court dismissed a Special Leave Petition filed by the Union of India against Zydus Wellness Products Limited (ZWPL), a wholly owned subsidiary. The case involved the denial of budgetary support to ZWPL after its conversion from a partnership firm to a company under the GST regime. The petition challenged a Division Bench order of the Sikkim High Court regarding the arbitrary denial of budgetary support under the Scheme of budgetary support in Goods and Service Tax Regime. The matter was listed for admission on July 11, July 16, and July 28, 2025, with the Supreme Court dismissing the petition on July 28, 2025.
